  The tour starts with sightseeing in the central part of Almaty. You will know more about history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions: Palace of President, Republic Square and Monument of Independence, and Astana Square, Abai Square and Palace of Republic. 
  Then the tour will continue in one of the oldest Almaty park – Panfilov Park, where you will see one of the unique wooden building in the world – Zenkov Cathedral and visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country.

  15.00 Transfer for Kok-tobe Hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located (if to count from the sea level) and where you will get by the picturesque winding mountain road. You can stroll along the magnificent panorama of the city from the special observation deck and visit the shop to "The Beatles" (the only one in CIS countries), visit the shop of national souvenirs and many other interesting things.

It was erected on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in remembrance of soldiers who have fallen for freedom and independence of our Motherland. Authors of the memorial are architects T. Basenov, R. Seidalin, V. Kim sculptors V. Andryuschenko, A. Artimovich. This monument of Art, Architecture and History entered into the composition of Almaty state historical and architectural national park in accordance with the resolution of Cabinet Council of KazSSR, No 46, November 25th, 1993.

The frescoes on the inside are beautiful and the outside is stunning as well. the cathedral is made out of wood but without nails.the only wooden Cathedrals in the world.The Cathedral was used as a museum after the ‘Revolution’, but was again restored to its original use as a Russian Orthodox Cathedral in 1990.

Next destination is Chimbulak ski resort, located at an altitude of 2230 meters above sea level. It is very popular for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days and snow through the winter and remarkable scenery of mountain ranges. Chimbulak has its own special atmosphere. Here you can see the skiers who like ironed track as well as the snowboarders who prefer extreme downhills with breath taking jumps and turns. On sunny days Chimbulak gathers together thousands of visitors.

  The Shymbulak Ski resort is located in the picturesque Zailiuskiy Alwatau mountains, 2260 m above sea level and is around 25kms outside the Almaty City with an average temperature of 25 degrees in summers and -7 degrees in winter. The average snowfall is around 1.5 m with the ski season starting from December till April. You can take the 3 ski lifts at the resort to reach the highest point at 3200m above sea level. You can reach the ski resort by taking the Gondola cars from Meadeu with the World’s third longest Gondola with a length of 4.5 kms. Once you reach the resort, you can soak in the views of the majestic mountains with snowy slopes and the evergreen Tien Shan Firs.During the winter you can put on some skates and skis and in the summer it’s a great place for hiking around the valleys, or just a great place to have lunch and a beer…while enjoying some spectacular views.

  10.00 Transfer to World Famous Gorky Central Park of Almaty. Central Park of Culture and Leisure is in Medeu district of Almaty. It was founded in 1856 and is spread in 100 Hectares of land. The park was a place for walking and officers of the garrison Verny. In 1934 the park was renovated, in-depth on the banks of the pond were placed recreation of the working people of Almaty, equipped with attractions. Today it offers attractions of rides for children, Aqua park, Lake with boating, Dino-Park and its latest addition Dolphinarium.

The location of the park, as the name suggests, is in central Almaty and the best part is it is close to the Green Bazaar and Panfilov Park. Gorky Park was named after the Russian author Maxim Gorky and sometimes it is referred by the locals as the Park Gorkogo. The Park has good facilities, with Shady walks and shrubs, flower beds, water features, an amusement park for the children with rides on both the fun fair and horses etc. For best experience you should include Gorky Park in your Almaty tour package itinerary.

Around 3500 workers work in basically 2 factories, one located in Almaty and one in Shymkent city. They also make chocolates for people suffering from diabetes and their low-calorie products like candies, cookies and waffles are a range among the people and tourists.

(Free…unless you buy something) This market is central to the every day life of the local people and it is so called the ‘Green Bazar, or market, because in the past it was the traditional place to buy and sell local produce like vegetables.
